No, you don't have to but it is recommended as it saves you the hassle from having to re-enter your details the next time you order.
A Gilded Leaf is required by law to charge state and local sales tax for orders shipped to states we conduct business. Currently, we are collecting sales tax only for shipments to New York.
Of course! You will be given the opportunity to write a personalized message at checkout. Your message will be enclosed in a white envelope with your gift order. The package will not have any other additional form identifying you as the giver. For this reason, we encourage you to at least enter your name on the gift message. Please refrain from using objectionable words, phrases and obscenities in your message as we reserve the right to remove such words or phrases from your message.
For your convenience, we offer our clients a one-time complimentary cleaning with purchase of any of our diamond settings. In addition, our trained professionals will check the setting for the security of the diamonds. If any repairs are needed, we will contact you prior for approval.
A Gilded Leaf jewelry requires a little care and attention. We recommend not exposing them to harsh chemicals, which includes lotions, cosmetics, hairspray, perfume, and hand-sanitizers. Store your jewelry in a pouch or fabric-lined box, separately or individually-wrapped in tissue when not wearing them. This reduces the risk of scratching and ensures their lasting quality.
14K Solid Gold:
14K yellow gold will not change in color, so we recommend not to polish too often. Use a gentle cloth or lightly scrub with a soft toothbrush with warm water to maintain its shine.
14K white gold is not pure white in its original state, rather it is rhodium finished. When the rhodium wears away, your ring will have a slight yellow tinge. The rhodium process can be done every 6-12 months. Harmful chemicals can wear down the rhodium much faster, so be careful not to come into contact with these chemicals while wearing your jewelry.
To minimize scratches, store your silver jewelry in a pouch or fabric-lined box, separately or individually-wrapped in tissue when not wearing them. Avoid exposing your silver to harmful chemicals as these chemicals can damage silver. Clean your silver regularly to prevent tarnishing, a dulling that naturally occurs when silver reacts with sulfur or hydrogen sulfide. Use polishes formulated specifically to remove tarnish. Fine silver polishes, solutions, or cloths that are appropriate to remove tarnish can be found at most hardware stores or specialty craft stores. Tarnish is most easily removed when it first becomes visible.
Diamonds and Gemstones:
Clean your diamonds and gemstones with warm mild soapy liquid and a soft toothbrush, rinsing afterwards to ensure there is no residue.
Pearls are vulnerable to harmful chemicals and humidity, so we recommend avoiding contact with cosmetics, hair spray, or perfume. Put on pearls after applying make-up and styling hair. The pearl's luster can also be harmed by perspiration, so wipe them gently with a soft cloth prior to storing them away. Store pearl jewelry in a pouch or fabric-lined box. We recommend wearing your pearl jewelry on occasion to prevent pearls from dehydrating.
