Engraving your A Gilded Leaf jewelry is simple: find your dream piece, choose your engraving, then let us work our magic.
Text engraving
You can pick the font of your choice in both uppercase and lowercase. In the adjacent image, you can find a list of all the fonts you can choose from. In the Notes field at checkout, please specify your font choice and what you’d like to engrave.
To be eligible for engraving, we recommend your piece:
- Have at least 2MM band width
- Number of characters varies for rings depending on ring size
- Up to 5 characters on pendants
- All letters, numbers, punctuation, and symbols available
Bespoke Engraving
If you have an engraving in mind that doesn’t fit into one of our pre-designed options, we may be able to help. We’re often able to engrave custom designs onto your jewelry, but please get in touch to discuss it with our engraving experts before placing your order.

Is there an additonal fee for engraving?
Adding engraving to your jewelry costs an additional $35. Due to the nature of engraving, engraving fees are non-refundable but all pieces are protected by our A Gilded Leaf warranty, as usual.
If you’re choosing a completely custom engraving design, we’ll send you a mockup before proceeding with your order to make sure you’re entirely happy with it.
How long does jewelry engraving take?
As all of our jewelry is made-to-order, adding custom engraving to your piece usually doesn’t affect your estimated shipping date. However, for completely custom designs we may sometimes need an extra day to make sure everything is perfect for you. If this is the case, we’ll be in touch to let you know.
How many characters can be engraved on my jewelry?
If you’re choosing to engrave a ring, the number of characters you can fit depends on the size of the ring - the bigger the ring, the more space there is for engraving. If you’re not sure if your engraving will fit on your chosen size, get in touch and we’ll let you know. We always recommend choosing a ring with a band width of at least 2mm to ensure your engraving is clear and legible.
If you’re choosing to engrave a pendant, up to 5 characters (including symbols) can be engraved.
Earrings cannot be engraved, due to the size of the pieces.
Which part of my jewelry will the engraving be on?
If you’ve chosen engraving for a ring, you can choose whether the engraving is on the inside of the band or on the outside.If you’ve chosen engraving for a necklace, the engraving will be on the pendant, not the chain.
Can engraving be added to any A Gilded Leaf piece?
Almost any piece of A Gilded Leaf jewelry can be engraved, with a few exceptions.
Rings with a band width of less than 2mm are not recommended for engraving, due to the fact that the engraving will be too small to be clear and legible. Similarly, earrings are unable to be engraved due to their size.
